Gotta remember, folks, that Ponty was visibly impressed with FZ's solo, but knew precisely what to do next because he is playing exactly what FZ wrote down for him to play. A lot of folks are unaware, this is as far from the open rockin jam it sounds like as it could be. 100% scripted, down to the drum fills in nearly every case. Like a symphony would be scored. FZ didn't leave anything to chance. Genius.
