=__= If you've ...
=__= If you've watched Higurashi, then it's against the rules not to play Umineko! :D
Actually, Higurashi ...
Actually, Higurashi is basically just a bonus to Umineko. [SPOILER] You see, Bernkastel basically created Rika Furude to see how long one girl could endure endless pain until she finds happiness. The Umineko anime doesn't cover half as much as the Visual Novels, so you're better off with those, although the art isn't amazing, the story is highly entertaining and really stimulates your brain, are witches real, or not?
Is this the trailer ...
Is this the trailer for the 2nd seasons?
@shunkwugga Keep in ...
@shunkwugga Keep in mind that it was never stated that Kyrie and Rudolf were the true murderers. It fact, it was never stated outright what REALLY happened on Rokkenjima when everyone was killed. Battler kept the catbox closed for Ange's sake, knowing it would be better off if she didn't know the truth rather than if she did.
@shunkwugga Just ...
@shunkwugga Just because Higurashi is a fictional series in the Umineko universe doesn't mean that Higurashi is fictional in ALL worlds. No, Bernkastel is not Rika, but she is actually a collection of all Rika's bad memories from each kakera she went through in the form of a witch. And also, don't take the whole thing about Bern being a cat too seriously.
No, I know what ...
No, I know what you're talking about, and you're wrong. In EP2 of Umineko, Battler mentions having read a mystery novel called Higurashi. It's probably where he got the name. The truth of the series ending (EP8 of Umineko Chiru) is that Battler made everything up. Bernkastel is literally a cat in his room that's bothering him. Lambdadelta is a cake.
that's probably in ...
that's probably in the manga, and I haven't read that, only seen the anime. and in Higurashi Kai, Rika says that she is Bernkastel, which automatically shows the ties between the two series, and she plain out says 'maybe I should stop being bernkastel for a while'.
Nope. Rika is a ...
Nope. Rika is a fictional character in a book Battler read called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni." Bernkastel is a cat in his room, and Lambdadelta is a cake. Battler's parents are the true culprits with him as an accomplice and he couldn't live with what he did. "Battler" is dead, but his body is still alive as Hachijo Toya, the author of various stories regarding the events.

Higurashi is more thought provoking and forever will stay as my favorite, but if you like crazy costumes, magic, and Phoenix Wright clones, Umineko is for you.
it is much better ...
it is much better than higurashi
Actually, it does ...
Actually, it does have a small relation to Higurashi. Bernkastel is actually the witch of Furude Rika. In Higurashi, Rika isn't really human. Her 'Frederica Bernkastel' self can see all the fragments of possibilities in the universe. So Bernkastel is actually Rika, one and only. Also, it is made by the same people who made Higurashi, and some of the characters are cameo characters.
Why would someone ...
