I really love this song. I heard it when I use to follow the lead and just go to church because it's what everybody said to do. But in the back of my mind I always asked myself, "Am I the only one questioning all this?" But now that I've grown, I've made my own religious views that are probably very far fetched from any christian. But that's okay, because this is still an awesome song just to get through life.

Love this song, but I don't believe it has to be related to religion...I perceive this as, "give it your all or you'll regret it later"...kind of like "give it your all"...

To me Going through the motions is when you have given your life to god, but you have fallen into sinful habits. You go to church, but you never really act out on anything you have learned. I was stuck in the motions for 3 years until two wonderful friends got me out of the motions. Don't fall into these habits, and like the song says "I don't want to spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything"

@number3nvrforget You've definately got one thing right! We are not the ones to say if someone goes to heaven or hell. God is. But He has provided a way for us to really KNOW if we're going to heaven. And He tells us how. He says that "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved!" No matter what you've done. Just accept His love! He died to save you, He loves you, but you've gotta say "I do."
