Toyota Kijang was originally designed and built in Indonesia before they put it in IMV project as Innova. I've been living with previous 2004 kijang, 2007 innova, and 2009 innova.. They're all rubish! I don't understand why people love it but price-wise I'd rather buy a second hand CRV than a brand new Innova. They cost about the same, Honda has better safety equipment as standard and the most important you won't get much of depreciation

I appriciate Mahindra for brining in such a great MUV on Indian roads. Innova cannot match xylo. Xylo is far ahead of Innova. I have driven both and i think XYLO is the best. Its a valuie for the money. The interiors and seats in Xylo are very comformtable.

When i was in India last month. The first time i saw the XYLO i thought it looked good but was skeptical about the small tyres and wheel base. But all that changed as i sat in the back seat. The journey was surprisingly comfortable and there was alota leg and headroom (Im 6ft4). So all round good car this one.

Xylo will need maintenance every 5000 km after it passes 100,000 km mileage. Innova, Japanese six sigma product, will run like a charm at 200,000 km mileage too. A new Xylo and Innova are not comparable, both are awesome. The 2 lac price tag difference lies in the long-term peace, and maintenance costs. But, Xylo is a top notch Indian product, so far. No doubt!

Innova is definitely more commendable than xylo because of its overall quality but xylo's engine and drive quality is better than innova. The pick up and ruggedness of xylo is unbeatable. Moreover,it is about the price. xylo is around 8 lakhs and innova is 11 lakhs. difference of 3 lakhs for the same type of vehicle is a lot of difference. I would always prefer xylo over innova.
