Scary Anti-Meth Ads by Darren Aronofsky

...

Go back and address ...

Go back and address my previous point, so we can move on. You said that "criminalizing something leads to less people doing it". Does this mean that we should make murder legal?

And punishing ...

And punishing someone for something they do to their own body, however bad it is, is a downright disregard for the sanctity of life.

That's an entirely ...

That's an entirely different scenario. When someone kills somebody and is charged, you're essentially removing them from society for x amount of years so that they aren't a threat to anyone. When someone smokes meth, the system removes them from society so.... it takes longer for them to smoke more meth. The system doesn't make anyone change their habits, it can only punish them for it.

One time I smoked ...

One time I smoked meth with my friends I woke up naked and beaten up

decriminalizing* ...

decriminalizing* and you statment is completly bogus you dumbfuck

You say that " ...

You say that "criminalizing something leads to less people doing it". Should we make murder legal? Would this "lead to less people doing it"?

It hasn't for ...

It hasn't for Portugal. It's probably one of the biggest myths in today's society that criminalizing something leads to less people doing it.

I liked it, until ...

I liked it, until the fat guy opened his mouth.

If you're not ...

If you're not trolling, you are the most unintelligent and dishonest person I have ever talked to in the comment section. The fact that you COMPLETELY disregard the fact that I agree with you that Meth is bad and continue to argue it (NEWSFLASH I AGREE, dumbass), and you completely IGNORE the points that I've made and continue with your tangent shows that you're not fit to discuss this. My last comment to you. Peace.

I'm not trolling at ...

I'm not trolling at all. The fact that you think I'm trolling truly shows your paranoia.

This is weak, ...

This is weak, particularly coming from Aronofsky. It would have been more effective just using certain cuts from "Requiem for a Dream". I'd like this annoying chick more if she just took her shirt off and, to keep it yt safe, wore little finger bells hanging off the ends of her nipples.

You missed my point ...

You missed my point entirely. You disregarded that meth is a serious problem for other people, and that you're probably not even using the meth that is being targeted in this ad. I don't care that you didn't get it though, I hope others do.

BAHAHAHAHA. ...

BAHAHAHAHA. Trolololololol. I'm done! You've successfully trolled me, I fell for it.

Judging from your ...

Judging from your videos and your comments regarding the legalization of meth, I am certain that you yourself are a meth user. As such, you need to look no further for its health effects than in the mirror.

As I said, ...

As I said, marijuana should be legalised. Why? It's no more dangerous than alcohol. I find it disgusting, but marijuana can be considered as a safe if regulated and legalised appropriately. Why shouldn't meth be legalised? Meth is addictive. It can cause mental problems and this has been well-documented both in the scientific literature (see McGregor et al. 2004 study) and in real life accounts. It will destroy our culture. Once you accept the facts, there's no real point in talking to you.

How long did it ...

How long did it take you to work to figure out my experience would be different to some other ppl's experience? Way to state the obvious there, genius then you go off on a tangent about addicted ppl having a bad time with addictive drugs like somehow you're revealing a huge secret to the world. Non of my fucking business what other ppl do to their bodies like its non of your business what I do with my body.

If you knew how to ...

If you knew how to read, you would have known that it wasn't my "life story" or the "life story" of others, but rather brought up why your comment was stupid in that your experience doesn't mean jack shit compared to the average and that you're probably taking PURE meth vs backyard mixtures. Maybe you fried your brain on too many of the more harmful drugs to be able to think critically. So sad.

AGAIN your source ...

AGAIN your source is meaningless as it doesn't address ANYTHING I've said I READ IT. ALSO it's apparent that you didn't read my link OR look into alcohol prohibition. I will be leaving this "discussion" until you actually start responding to what I'm saying. When you're ready to discuss the effects of prohibition vs legalization like a big kid, I'll come back.

Okay?? Why r u ...

Okay?? Why r u telling me your life story and the life story of ppl you know? Not my business what ppl do in their personal life.

Also, this isn't ...

Also, this isn't PURE meth we're talking about, this is airing in rural areas where meth is cooked up in the backyard. It's cut with a million different things that will affect your brain in ways that pure methamphetamines NEVER would. We have to keep this in mind. It's the difference between pure Colombian cocaine vs crack rocks.

I'm pretty sure ...

I'm pretty sure it's that way to say that it will make you do things you never thought you would. That young man is probably not meant to be gay, many STRAIGHT addicts that are seriously addicted have sucked cock for their habit. Darren Aronofsky isn't to my knowledge homophobic or anti gay in any way.

The ad doesn't make ...

The ad doesn't make it "glamorous". If you think that, I don't think we watched the same ad. Also, just because you use meth occasionally, doesn't mean that others aren't only seriously addicted, but also seriously suffering from it. People who have been doing meth for any extended period of time are going through heavy ass health problems. I've known MANY people that have and do use coke and they don't have problems, but others have SERIOUS problems. Your experience is not indicative of others

Self righteous, ...

Self righteous, know it all fucks like you piss me off. You act like you know what you're talking about and that you're so much better than everyone else, but you pussyfoot around the actual discussion because you haven't done the research into the subject that others have (you only think you have). I'm not an expert and I don't put myself forth as such, but this information has been documented and we've got enough real life examples that you have no excuse to be so willfully ignorant.

WHAT ARE YOU ...

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? I never said that Meth was GOOD, I'm not defending meth use! Do not try and build a strawman argument against me, unlike you, I'm not providing sources for something that the other person isn't talking about. Maybe try addressing my actual comments instead of deflecting. Also, try researching alcohol prohibition and read this article right here: scientificamerican . com/article.cfm?id=portugal-drug-decriminalization

Again, you haven't ...

Again, you haven't given a source showing these "numbers". My source that Meth is bad for health and addicting is: The nature, time course and severity of methamphetamine withdrawal, by McGregor et al., 2004., pp. 3-6.
