Thank you so much for helping everyone. My dv6570 laptop won't power up even with a steady blue power jack light. Until yesterday, as long as I made the little lightning bolt light on the front of the laptop stay on (by moving the power cord around), it stayed on; when the little light cut off, so did the computer. The blue power jack light never fluctuated. Now when I push the power button, all that happens is the little lightning bolt light flashes 3 times and then stays off. Thank you! Lili

I'm having a issue where after the computer boots up and I go into windows setup since I'm reloading the OS, I get what I can only call screen tearing. I've been looking for a way to fix it but I can't seem to find the source of the problem posted anywhere.

What a great video. Same thing happened to my daughter's DV6000. Got copper sheet from Hobby Lobby, cut up a Coke can, folded four sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil three times. Cut a one inch square out of copper and used as a template to cut the hole in the can. Used a little scotch tape to hold the aluminum/can heat sink in place. Raised temperature of GPU card to 220C (measured with IR Tempgun). Tested and worked! Also failed WiFi now works too! Thanks a bunch Pete!

Be sure to check the inverter that it is plugged in correctly and firm. You also may need to reflow it again, there is a pin that controls the voltage out to the inverter and that turns on the bulb..
