I think what's the most disturbing about this is that it actually happened. Well, the base idea, at least: that the prisoners and the guards took their roles so seriously that they revealed a psychological pattern. This movie was based on the Phillip Zimbardo prison experiment. And that's pretty freaky.

This movie just reminded me of how things go in Egypt. The citizens are (the prisoners) who should be safe and protected. But those who got the authority (The guards) are using it to maintain their powers just like in the movie. While those watching (the protectors) are silent about it. I just felt like Khaled Said's and others' stories are miniatured in that movie. Amazing one!

I'm a 21 year old woman. After watching this, I couldn't sleep without both of my dogs by my side for weeks. I would freak out when one of them left my room. I can't even begin to imagine how the Stanford 1970's trial affected the subjects. This trailer doesn't even begin to exemplify the intensity of this film.
