I take your point but I'm not suggesting the presence of an invisible ear or nose with an exotic name like, 'vestigial wave perceptor' or some other meaningless tag. I think it is fairly likely that avian responses have been measured after all a guided missile system was planned with pigeons used as the guidance system. Crazy but true. There is no mystery about Starlings and the idea that collections of anecdotes represent data though not without merit presumes what it is data for.

Seems a bit like saying why do we have a nose or ears, when we have eyes? Hard to tell whether birds can react in time, I do not know how fast birds in the computer models of bird flocks have to react to a change in direction, but i should be possible to test his theory. The question is, has anyone tested it? I guess they would need to put something into a bird that could measure how fast they are reacting, which might not be possible. But what is the reaction time in the computer model?

Because the photons ...
Because the photons hit your retina..... And that's what gives you vision.. You need the information from the photons first before, according to his theory, be it true or not, your brain 'projects' the image in the correct place in space at the correct distance estimated from the photons recieved. At least that's how i got it. Does not seem so hokus pokus, seems more like our internal image of the world simply being "imagined" on top of the existing real objects.

the beautiful thing is , is that in a world of where people dedicate there lives to finding the answers to lifes questions , the answers to those questions dont necessarily go to those people , all answers go to those who god has chosen , im an unemployed man who never even past his school exams yet i know some of the most important answers to lifes questions becuase i have the greatest teacher of all, god, and my link with him is strong and he tells me what i need to know

scientists do get trained, when einstein died , they took his brain out of his head and tried to figure out by looking at it why he was so inteligent , when the inteligence is in the soul, scientists naturaly think you think with the brain so yes scientists can be taught , most scientists would look to the brain if they wanted to find an answer like this becuase they cant see the soul where the mind resonates
