Did you watch my movie on the HAM-DXB flight? And then the black Cadillac with the Chauffeur was waiting for me..and on the return flight JFK-HAM, the free dinner in the Ritz Carlton..lobster..Kobe Beef..Chateauneuf du Pape..all on EK..the golden days of flying..I think they stopped this..

Trust me, you do not want to fly with another Airline, if you can avoid it!! On one trip, the Company put me on Delta. As examples of their service, I had to pay $6.00 USD to watch the movie *61 and was further charged for each Beverage. Also, if you end up on a Delta 767-300ER-G garbage scow, you won't even have a TV in their economy. Needless to say, the Travel Office said they would note I was not to be booked on Delta again.

Homer, Thank you for posting this, it brings back fond memories of my past travels. I was an Emirates Skywards Gold member for a while and often took the old JFK-HAM-DXB route Emirates use to fly. If there is a better Airline, I have not found it yet. Additionally, what you said is so true, the service in Emirates economy is equal to or better than what many other Airlines offer in Business Class. Thanks again and happy trails in future travel. :-)

Recently I travelled YYZ-DXB on Emirates. I found their service quite good. They served just had 2 meals - cost cutting I suppose. But, during the meals, fruits & choc's were available.
