Define "Classic". I'm not sure why these talented musicians spent so much of their time and energy producing popular tunes. I supose like most of us they had to earn a living. However, if you listen to some of their "not so well known" pieces you'll see what I mean in terms of their unfullfilled potential. And ah, the eighties was a rhetorical statement not intended to be interpreted as a real question.

So, Rubber Bullets, The Wall Street Shuffle, Art For Arts Sake, Good Morning Judge... etc etc, are these not "Pop Music" either ??? Godley & Creme & 10cc have made classic albums ALL in the eighties.... so why ask if it was written then ????

I know this comment sounds funny to me as well. Perhaps I am in the minority on this based upon many of the posting. Knowing a song from a movie or game is just alien to me unless we are taking about a musical (My Fair Lady, Sound of Music etc) Whereby the music was written for the play. In fact if i was exposed to it from a game, I certainly would be sick of it and not come back to this site and listen again! I literally hated listening PACMAN songs etc.

Was this written in the eighties? Perhaps, I couldn't say. I really don't think it stands up to their other work. I happen to be reviewing all their pieces that were posted on youtube to see what others thought was significant. I am sorry to say this falls far short. Sounds like pop music to me. Sorry guys
