Some are classy but most of them suck! I think a lot of modern architects have lost their minds. Their clients are stupid as well for liking the design and putting up the structure.

With respect to your view; Classical buildings have unnecessary features too. The kind of functionalism you seem to crave may well be found in early 20th ct modernism (look up Gropius) but I doubt you would like it. PS, it is 'Bred not 'Breeded. Cheers

There is nothing more subjective than style. I live near the city with the only exact copy of the Parthenon replete wth Athena's statue. I respect classical arts but realize they are retrofitted ancient copies - like sticking an Ipad on a horse and carriage. Modern design uses technology - plumbing, heat, cooling, electricity, materials other than stone or wood. As such they can stretch the imagination. But it's all a matter of choice. Take Care.

I defy modern architecture, and anyone who likes it cleary has no taste. This looks awful. and It's such a real shame that a new generation of architects are being breeded and they are breeded to think that these buildings look good. They don't, they look stupid. They have unnecessary features. I don't understand why people disregard lovely beaux arts and neo-classical buildings and praise this form of architecture... it's such a shame.

Why would anyone visit a site on modern architecture then complain they don't like modern architecture? If anyone knows "Ghery" (obviously not) then they should know he is a conservative architect. His plans are rational and (unlike others) he builds from the inside out - the correct way. Another point - his "innards" (plumbing, lighting, temp control, pitch, etc) are sheer perfection.
