Sure, but don't forget he's screen + webcam recording in 720p. That eats power. Plus, I would suppose it works even better on large videos files. When you convert larger files, you may see a speed pick by the middle of the process. Not always true though.

18s is hardly an appropriate measure of its efficiency. Dedicated hardware for video conversion really only shines in larger files. Any reasonable consumer wouldn't bother looking at this if they had small files, unless there was a huge amount of them.
