In the 200+page report NIST NCSTAR1(official wtc 1 and 2 report) they use the word explosions exactly 4 times and this includes the initial plane impact explosions. This is well out of kilter for an objective and unbiased report. Its obvious to me they are going out of their way to not even mention them.

Even if there had been, the requirement would have been on the owner (Port Authority), not the lessee (Silverstein). Besides, asbestos was only installed up to the 40th floor of WTC 1, then largely removed during construction. No other WTC building ever had any asbestos installed in them.

The interesting part of the story is the building needed to get asbestos removed floor by floor, estimated cost 15 billion . Mr. Silverstein knew that before buying the building . The collapse is happening just the reverse of a conventional controlled demolition. It begins where the planes struck. All controlled demolitions begin at the lowest floor. Smoke/dust begins there too. The major structures of WTC, 1&2 were turned into dust from the upper floors to the lower ones. WTC7 fell silently unlike with a controlled demolition which are extremely loud. Nothing much of WTC7 smashed into the ground. Most of it was turned into dust. There were no seismic P and S waves.
