Here is another update: "Due to the large number of entries to the Your Film Festival Competition, we have extended our evaluation period to 12th June. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned to our announcement of the 50 semifinalists on or around that date."

Yay, we finally got some news! We're thrilled at how many entries we received and need a little bit more time to bring you the semi-finalists. Check back on June 11th at 4pm PST to start voting for your favorites.

.....until May 28th, anything could happen, if the deadline for getting back with them was over before the notification period, well then physics and time don't matter anymore and i'm making a new film aboutit" So it seems like they're still deciding lol. So chin up :)

The email said the same thing as the entry submission page: "Thank you, you have submitted your video. Semi-finalists and alternates will begin to be notified on or about April 16, 2012."

This competition is ...
This competition is strange: all of the participants have not received any mail that notifies the submission. It is possible that Google/Youtube does not have an automated system that responds: «Thank you for participating»?. Now gets out a user who has entered the video 1 weeg ago (the submission closed on 31 march) which has received this notification. So am I to think the worst or is there something wrong? Tomorrow we will see these famous 50 finalists (perhaps) but doubts remain. Too many.

Questo concorso è un'anomalia: tutti i partecipanti non hanno ricevuto alcuna mail che notificasse l'iscrizione. Possibile che un colosso simile non abbia un sistema automatizzato che risponda: «Grazie per aver partecipato»?. Ora esce fuori un utente che ha iscritto il video l'altro ieri, a iscrizioni chiuse, che ha ricevuto questa famosa notifica. Allora sono io a pensar male o c'è qualcosa che non va? Domani vedremo questi famosi 50 finalisti (forse) ma i dubbi rimangono. Troppi.

You received an email when you submitted? I never did, but the status on the entry submission page said I had "already submitted" my film. I think you're one of the only ones that received that email.

If we join the competition with our videos, then we delete the video from You Tube. So, is the video still in the competition?
I received a ...
I received a confirmation email regarding the submission of my film, Behind the Veil. I think they're still deciding on the semi-finalists. But, honestly, I support that they're taking their time in selecting the semi-finalists--that shows that they are considering each and every entry, which is very commendable. Also, considering that they have had thousands of entries, it's completely understandable that they need time to go through and judge the films. So relax :)

I mean it doesnt make sense. From April 1-15th they pick the semi-finalists, from April 16- May 28th they 'notify' people via email. Today is the last day and we still havent heard anything or gotten an update video.
