Great reply. I was perhaps a bit harsh as i normally am when passionate. I liked Elton John's Lucy better than the Beatles, which damned me to music hell. Most other remakes- maybe Queensryche doing Scarborough Fair, I thought I liked better but then didn't. I must constantly educate my kids on remakes that are mere remixes. I was most angry when Aerosmith and Run DMC (I believe) did their thing. I had to accept it ultimately but did not like it. Any other examples let me know

somewhat agreed. i don't like the idea of making stuff sacred and or untouchable, artistically speaking, as it is a limiting mindset to adopt. i rather dig on the heaviness of the bassline here, and it made me re percieve the original, and paradigm shifts of perception are everything in life, for that is how we grow and learn and discover ourselves. BUT, the original is better. imo.
