Not really. Google, much like Apple, only built off from already existing platforms. Apple, for instance, did not invent the smartphone or the tablet. Those already existed for YEARS prior to Apple. All Apple did was take them, and improve, and then other companies did that to the Apple products. Nothing innovative there, just business as usual. Google, conversely, does not invent websites, they just buy them out. Hardly revolutionary. Hell, Proctor & Gamble do that all the time.

Lots of inventions are based off of past ones. Xerox only got Jobs started. He created most of OS. Just because Xerox got him started doesn't mean that he copied it all. Also, think about all his other innovations. Most of the mainstream devices for the masses are either apple products or copies of apple products. Google created tons, and also even if you don't think that they did, bringing the internet together is a very very hard thing to do.

Steve Jobs bought patents from Xerox and all but copied the UNIX structure. Steve Jobs did for computers, what Google did for the internet. They both only brought together, that which was already there. The only thing Steve could ever claim as his own was the Dock, which he came up with while heading NEXT Computers. That's it.
