we saw this show ...
we saw this show last weekend in Tucson and they played this song. I don't normally need drums, but this song wouldn't be the same without Justin Faulkner! The song is originally from the "Contemporary Jazz" album by Branford Marsalis. Here is what it says about the song in the liner notes: "Two bars of 4, one bar each of 6, 3, 4, 6, followed by three bars of 4; that's on the improv. this tune sounds like an argument where everyone agrees. I got to run monitors for this group once. justin's kick drum beater went flying off of the pedal during his solo. I got to fix it with my head surrounded by drums being pounded while the band vamped. best show i ever worked.

@stucatz1130 I know this because I love Bosporus cymbals and I know Justin personally. He's using a 22 inch Bosporus master series ride cymbal. Very thin, flatter profile, small bell, and unlathed. Gives it that vintage sound. And it's got a couple rivets in it.

They have a young drummer there, while he isn't Tain, he's a great drummer with a great future, Lord willing!
