Charles Wesley must be appalled by modern American Methodist churches---lesbian preachers and so on. My parents left Methodist church when liberalism came in during 50's. Wesley reportedly wrote over 600 hymns and this imo one of his most stirring. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian convert of 25 years. Our beautiful 1700+ year old liturgy is mostly sung acapella.
