first manga i ever read: basilisk (can't remember the age, but's quite a while since then) first anime i ever watched: x/1999 (when it originally aired dubbed) first adult movie i watched: silence of the lambs (at the age of eight) first adult game i played: eternal darkness (at the age of ten) first thing that actually scared or disturbed me: has yet to come in short, i may be messed up but i sure as hell came in contact with some awesome media

If you like Baslisk I recommend Yagyū ninpō chō (dunno English name), it's another manga sort of based on ninja.

In fact, the real ninja are more like mercenairies that services are hired by the lords, and the reason is: 1- the two ninja clans that were living in the mountains had some wonderful sciences about fighting and being a warrior. 2- the Bushido code was'nt applied to this clans, so they could accomplish the mission without being held by honour: the objective goes first! that's why they are called shadows, they can assassinate the target without helding an army and doing war, for example.

I don't get why people compare naruto and basilisk . The only thing they have in common are thier ninja other than that they have nothing alike . Yes the first part of naruto was pretty kiddy , but shippuden has lots of angst and feelings in it , and basilisk is more realistic amine from the samurai age based of Romeo and Juliet . The 2 anime have nothing in common so you just can't compare them

This is one of my favorite anime, I don't care if is the best or isn't the best or if people don't know it or don't like it, I love and this waht is important for me. I realize that I like the stories of ninjas or Feudal Japan. This also is a ninja version of Romeo and Juliet
