We will always have troops in Iraq, just like Germany and Japan, we have bases in both those countries and use them as global command posts if you will. Most of what happened to the economy during Obama's term is the aftermath of the depression Bush put us in with the War on Terror (which to me is justified, but still costing us a lot of money) and other poor economic choices, including the budget.

The thought pattern of this administration was what Biden said, "We Have to Go Spend Money to Keep From Going Bankrupt." That makes no sense as we saw with Obama's expensive Stimulus Package that did nothing but add more to our growing debt. Yes, there was a hole there before, but Obama dug it deeper than it was before at an even faster rate which says that he contributed to it and didn't just inherit it.
