Kubrick is one of the very few filmmakers who's films were on their own orbit. Every time I revisit a Kubrick film, all I say to myself is 'how did this one man think of all of this?' . Kubrick's technique and style as both a writer and director was completely his own, and not influenced by anyone who came before him. A true artist and pioneer of film.
