God bless man, one of the biggest misconceptions about any decade's teenage generation is that they all lap up the popular stuff and don't know any better. I'm 26, in 2000 when I turned 15 I was mainly listening to Pink Floyd, Metallica, and Hendrix, as were my close friends. I also liked the recent stuff like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kid Rock, Radiohead but it's a complete fallacy to believe that kids don't listen to previous generations' music. I think this decade will be much better than the last.
