You apparently have no idea what you're talking about. The Ak-47 is no longer in use by the Russian army and the Ak-12 is a brand new prototype that Kalishnikov just released. The new Ak-74 is chambered with the 5.45 round which is proven to better than the standard NATO 5.56 round used by the m16. The Ak-74 was made before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 80's which shows that not only is it better, its newer.
