That's a tough one. ...

That's a tough one... Take a look at the troubleshooting refrigerator problems pages on my website. (There is a link in the description of this video.) First check if the compressor is running. If it is you need to see if there is an ice buildup that may be blocking airflow, you may also have a problem with an internal fan that is not moving the air. What is your Samsung model#?

I feel your pain! ...

I feel your pain! That's kind of why I started this project. Because you want to be sure its not some little 15-75 dollar switch, timer, or thermostat that would cause you to swap out a 500-3000 refrigerator at 5 years. Most compressors would not give out at 5 years... It happens, but very rarely.

Good question...I ...

Good question...I don't see one on the diagram for that model. I would guess that it is a "hot wall condenser" on some refrigeration appliances (mostly upright freezers) the condenser is foamed into the sides of the cabinet. They would not list the part because it is not replaceable in that case. Not positive... but thats my guess :)

must say modern day ...

must say modern day appliances are nothing but a pile of over complicated techno crap. Most appliances work for a few years give up and then have to be replaced. Remember having an ariston washing machine that last 20 years, a fridge that last 23 and a freezer that lasted 27 years without a hitch. In the last 5 years we have had 2 washing machines, 2 fridges and a new freezer.

where is the ...

where is the condenser coil on a magic chef mcbr1010w? I don't mean the cooling coils, I see that behind the panel in the freezer. I mean the condenser coils, which are supposed to be behind or under the fridge. I have looked, and I don't see it. I have been looking for a grid if black wires similar to my full size fridge, located underneath, which I vacuum clean now and then. I see no such thing on this 10 c.f. magic chef.

Thanks for doing ...

Thanks for doing this video, really helped me figure out how to diagnose and repair my old side by side fridge. My local appliance parts store was able to match me up with equivalent or universal parts that I needed, even though they were discontinued and not available.

I've been to too ...

I've been to too many of these service calls to know thats a mouse trapped in condenser fan motor. No reflection on your household cleaniness. The little buggers love that area for its warmth.....if running a refrigeration compressor wasnt so costly energy-wise, it would be the perfect mouse trap.

I do oops from time ...

I do oops from time to time but that is how you advance THAT STYLE of defrost timer into a defrost cycle. one terminal says "test" and you short it to the next terminal with a screwdriver. Perhaps a button would be better but that how Whirlpool decided to do it. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you so much for this video. I had exactly the same problem with my refrigerator. I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours, then plug it back in. It worked perfectly again.
