Why wouldn't you just put the camera in the bag? You'd sacrifice some manoeuvrability but gain much more in terms of it being less obvious. Plus it would be more stable in the side of a bag than bouncing around in floppy cloth. Finally you wouldn't have a cord running from your clothes to the bag, which would be a bit of a giveaway.

Hey i got a blue plastic flashlight from dollar tree and it still works and i had it for about a year, I got a green led flashlight from dollar tree (d cell led flashlight, they are rare) and it has been working for about 3 years and it is still working WITH IT'S ORIGINAL BATTERIES!!!! THE BATTERIES (from dollartree, they are super heavy duty) HAS LASTED FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS!!!!! AND THEY STILL WORK GOOD!!!
