My remote couplers ...
My remote couplers work but do not uncouple from my cars. I use Kaydee #158 whisker couplers on my cars. Do you think that might be the problem?

mth totally messed up on the bnsf version they have a nose mounted head light not a cab mounted head light i have seen one my self actually 3 my self all with nose mounted head lights they are my favorite loco it was a long coal train.any way they also messed up on the bell i also heard the bell my self in fact the only thing that appeals to me in the ad is the functioning couplers! for bnsf get athern genesis tsunami sound. you will love it! up get mth if the wrong bell is OK with you

Both mine are perfect. In complete contrast, i was just looking through a webpage from my local train dealer. He shows high res pictures of all his models, the actual one thats for sale. Of all the 2 dozern or so Athearn SD70ace's he has, all show faults. Warped and / or displaced railings, crooked ditch lights, missing horns, gaps around the cab roof, broken sand line brackets on the trucks, gaps around the base of the cabs. The Athearns are a dam mess!!

Yo MTH, Got a new SD70 today, and I must say it is amazing. My instruction booklet says the loco is already programmed for flashing ditch lights, but they stay on constantly when I honk the horn. What is the setting to change this?

At the risk of being pounced on like a "red headed step-child", it's my opinion that KATO makes a much better locomotive compared to MTH locomotives. To me, there's no comparison when it comes to quality & detail between the two makers with KATO being far superior over MTH. It's also my opinion that MTH charges far too much for the quality of the product you receive. As for customer service with MTH? I can't offer an opinion, as I have never purchased any MTH products or do I plan to. Sorry.

That's sad to hear but, apparently the problem isn't just in Poland... it's the same way here in the states, according to two of my model railroad buddies who purchased MTH locomotives. I have lost count of the number of complaints from both on the poor customer service or lack of, when it comes to MTH trains. I had an MTH DASH8 SF War Bonnet that was given to me & I sold it on eBay & purchased a KATO DASH9. Sorry but, I'm just not a fan of MTH trains. Priced too high, quality too low IMHO.

Yes it's me, I bought 18 Triplex model, 2 GS4, Mohawk, 4 J Clase, and 30 SD70 Ace. The factory got a broken model. The company does not want to fix the Mth model GS4 1.5 years, SD70 Ace 1 year. Models sent back to the U.S. for their money, where I bought it. But MTH has not adopted them for repair. People in Poland are very angry with the service MTH and will not be broken buy new models. I demand from MTH repair what sold spoiled.

MTH does honor the warranty on all of our products provided the terms of the warranty provisions are met. If your friend is having an issue with an engine they should contact MTH directly.
