Thanks for the comment and compliment. It's very nice to hear that others enjoy these videos as much as I enjoy making them. Thanks again.

Thanks for the comment and compliment. It takes around two weeks to set everything up. Years ago trains were the toy to have. So many children wanted the latest Lionel or American Flyer trains for Christmas. They might not be quite as popular as they once were, but many kids are still like trains. My nephew is 2 years old and already has a Lionel set. As well as by godson who is 8. Hopefully it will grow into a life long hobby for them. Only time will tell.

Great Job and layout. In years past this would be a layout you would expect to see at a high end store. It must take alot of time to set all of this up. Not too many stores have Christmas train layouts any more these days. They all mainly focus on Xbox this and play station that, it's a shame the hobby of trains isn't being picked up by more younger generation.

Thanks for the comment. The part of the base where the tree goes rotates. There are also two electrical outlets on the part that rotates. And then the part of the base that doesn't rotate plugs into any electrical outlet.

I have never seen a rotating Christmas Tree like that. How does the wire for the lights not get tangled up??

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to setting everything up this year. It's very nice to hear that other people are looking forward to it as well. Hopefully everything will be set up and running by Thanksgiving and I can start uploading some new videos.

I would think everybody will enjoy seeing it, especially your nieces and or nephews. Kids of all ages enjoy trains.
I think I will ...
I think I will contact my brother and sister in law and see if they wanna take their kids as well and we can all go see the Science Center set up. I don't have a video cam yet, but maybe I can use my cell phone for pics. They seem to take the kids to see other stuff, but a train layout can also be a joy for them. Or if they do wanna see something else, I can watch it by myself. I don't mind!

Thanks for the comment. The layout you mentioned seems very nice. I'm sure it is also very interesting to see.

Reminds me of the old Buhl Planetarium layouts. They moved everything to the Science center and one day hope to see it. Trains, little people, day going into night, it was magical!

Thanks for the reply. I set up my first Christmas display last year. I'm a convert from N gauge and still have a layout in N, so there goes my limited space. I agree, it's not Christmas without a train under (or in my case beside) the tree. You gotta love that Southern Pacific SD70! I almost bought one.

Thanks for the compliment. YES!!! The trains will be set up for Christmas again this year. I hope to start setting everything up by the second week of November.

Thanks! I also wish it could stay up all year. Hopefully someday I'll have a permanent layout. But even if I had a permanent layout there would still be a train around the tree at Christmas. It just wouldn't feel like the holidays without one.
