Who ever plays Topol has to have alot of talent!, i also saw the broadway production at the Boise PhilHarmonic, here in Idaho, we also gave the actor a massive standing Ovation, it was THE best broadway show ive seen so far

I have also seen a few performances without Topol with someone else playing the roll but IT ISN"T THE SAME! in the broadway show I went to, after the show he got a ten minute standing ovation from the audience... it was amazing so much respect for the man.

I was there in November 2007, Sydney! My grandparents grew up with him, they always had jokes and said when he began his roll as Tevya in his youth, he had to spend all morning in the make up salon getting all his hair died grey and look like he is an old man and how he just comes and he is ready, he knows the words off by heart doing over 25000 performances around the world.... god bless him. He usually visits Melbourne every few years and does a few shows cause his son lives there.
