Tactical Solutions Ruger Mk II .22: "Suppressed Fun" by Nutnfancy
I have a " ...
I have a "suppressed" Ruger Mk 2 (bull bbl) .22LR that is set up for .22 BLANKS ONLY. The piece was used in the final episode of Burt Reynolds' TV series "B.L. STRYKER." The pistol was custom-made to fit a fake suppressor, by unscrewing the bull bbl., and screwing on the FAKE suppressor. I have 2 more of Burt's "STRYKER" guns as well, all are NICE. What great memories of the TV series.

Question: with the ...
Question: with the suppressor, do you still get the crack from the round going supersonic (when using non-subsonic ammo)? I want to suppress my MkII and I know that some MkIIs with integral suppressors can fire standard ammo and still no have the supersonic crack. I just want to know if putting an AAC Prodigy on a Pac-Lite barrel will do the same thing or do I have to use subsonic ammo?
If I was your ...
If I was your friend I would shoot you with a suppressed Ruger 22/45 with a Tactical Solutions barrel for dropping my suppressor multiple times.....J/K. Those things run as much as the gun originally costs not including the $200 tax stamp.
Ok, I've heard a ...
Ok, I've heard a lot about .22 cal rounds and hunting/protection but haven't really attempted anything other than squirrel and rabbit. I know the round is versatile and cheap, but can't seem to fathom a clean one round kill on larger game. Maybe the lack of kick and quietness makes it seem weak. I just want to know if anyone can back the claims of killing bobcats with a Ruger Mark 2, deer with an 10/22 from 100 yards....all with one shot. If it's true I'd love to have a few .22s for protection.

You can disable the ...
You can disable the mag dis-connect. I did it on my friend's MkII. It is a major PITA though. If I recall correctly, there is a short rod that links to the actual dis-connector that is on the same pin as the sear. It took me about an hour to figure it all out, remove it, and re-assemble it. It definitely improved the feel of the trigger.

Man, that piece is ...
Man, that piece is tactical. It is both hot and maxed out. Super light weight, super hot and reliable, as well. The slickness I would gain from putting this on my Ruger (or Browning Buckmark) would be amazing. I am sure that this tactical upgrade will make my pistol handle so much nicer. I can't wait to put one on my Mark 4.

A. hearing ...
A. hearing protection. B. because its cool. C. because i can. C. because its not used for contract killing and the army really only uses them on rifles for flash supression and to save hearing, and they do not SILENCE the gun making it some sort of ubber assasins weapon thats why.
I got my Ruger 22/ ...
I got my Ruger 22/45 barrel threaded. It is cheaper to go that way. Once you shoot .22 with a sound suppressor, you'll use it all the time. Hearing damage is not reversible.
