Say, then, that you showed it to someone else you were close to, like a relative or another friend. If they listened to it and their reaction was basically, "Meh, not for me," would you really say "Fine, we're not friends anymore, I fucking hate you"? Do you really think it's worth hating someone for not liking a song?

Are you serious? Why would you hate someone just because this song happens to not do a lot for them? He didn't even bash it, he just basically said "not my kind of song," but he gave it a 4/5 - you might notice that's a decent rating. Besides, it's silly to think that someone's taste in music defines them as a person. If you recommended this song to your best friend, and they said, "It's okay, just not my thing," and they didn't love it - would you hate your best friend?
