You describe Keynesian economics, which are a proven failure. Google Mises Institute and learn Austrian economics. By the way, there were no such "cuts" during or after the great depression. There was massive "new deal" stimulus (which you're claiming should help, but it didn't), and then war (everyone lived in poverty and worked their ass off). AFTER the war, there WERE massive cuts in spending - and the economy took off like it never had before. Your example proves your logic completely wrong.

This is because the government is already spending so much money that it is borrowing money from other countries, after already spending all of the money we have given to it in taxes. So really, the government is still spending an insane amount of money, just 100 million dollars less insane. The government would have to cut ALL money being spent that is borrowed from other countries before we see any of this money.
