The problem with the Bible is that you can find a passage or quote to justify any kind of behaviour, both good and bad. People may argue about the interpretations, but the authors didn't leave an addendum explaining 'when we wrote this, what we meant was...' The Bible does say at some points that it's ok to abuse women, but it says in other places that it isn't. It's ultimately up to us as a species to decide what we think is right. I personally believe domestic violence of any kind is wrong.
