They tried to help ...
They tried to help Ian the best they know how but they were young. Barney tried to help with the hypnosis but that didn't do much obviously. Ian's daughter Natalie said that his band mates are not to be blamed because they were rather young and didn't know better. If she's not bitter, who are we to lay the blame? And why should they have folded? Romanticism is beautiful but not realistic. They have to live and support their own family and have all the rights to continue their music career.
