So the weakening of steel in a few floors of the building would cause the collapse of the central steel columns which would allow the building to fall with out resistance? Some truthers, even with engineering degrees, will say to me, "What is the temp that jet fuel burns at, and what is the melting temp of steel?" This is, of course, a stupid question. It doesn't require someone to admit guilt. All it takes is for a single outsider to stumble upon one aspect of the plot for it to be exposed. It's ridiculous to assume that everyone who was approached to be "in" on this accepted instead of rejecting the idea and exposing it. There would have been some who would have had a problem with killing their own citizens. Such a large scale operation would inevitably come undone. The US government needed a "shock and awe" project to make the American people feel fearful and threatened and literally in shock so they would not question the war plans. A threat of WMD's would not be enough. Lots of the young Americans who signed up the Iraq War did so thinking they were fighting the terrorists responsible for 9/11. The American people needed to be made angry and very patriotic (which happens after an event like 9/11)

Why would someone "come out?" and admit they were part of 9/11? And be executed and thrown in prison for life, or worse, comletely discredited. There are actually many whistleblowers when it comes to 9/11. This "confession" argument is one of the most ridiculous claims out there. Lots of people in prison have never admitted to their crime or taken resposibility and lots of unsolved crimes too. Funnily enough, most people are happy to get away with their crimes.
