I'm not against militant action but this rioting was just pointless. There are two conditions for direct action that have to be fulfilled. 1. Direct action has to be usefull. If you want to gain support from the people it is not usefull to smash their shops or cars. 2. Direct action has to be arrangeable. exactly both. From my understanding about India there was Ghandi and there was this other leader... a name too complex for my American mind to remember haa. He was straight up blowing up government buildings and ambushing troops at the same time Ghandi was doing his thing will his marches.
