It's not racism, he couldn't even see eat color she was until he was right by the window, people need to stop crying that every time a person that isn't white is the subject. Black people can be some of the most racist people around. Just because I'm white, I've had numerous black people assume I'm racist or rich.. And my girlfriend is black.

Handcuffs that he ...

Handcuffs that he would place on her to restrain her as he drives her to a secluded place to rape and kill her. I'm not saying he was going to do that but she had no way of knowing that. His reaction was irrational if based on a fear that she might have been getting her gun ready. It would be equally irrational for her to resort to violence without more than a fear that he might not be a cop or might be a cop who wants to harm her. Pt 8

...for your safety ...

...for your safety and well being. Under those conditions she would have been justified in using lethal force to defend herself and ask questions about his identity and motive after the fact. Of course if she mistakenly killed a cop she would go to prison but at least she would be alive and not dead because the alternative is much worse. It is not normal and sane for police officers to act like that. She could have been getting her gun ready or he could have been getting his handcuffs ready Pt 7

...he might seek to ...

...he might seek to establish probable cause to arrest her and obtain a search warrant to search her vehicle. What he wouldn't do is attack someone in a psychotic manner. Reasonable people do not act that way. A cop has as much right to be suspicious as she does but he does not have more right to attack her without provocation than she does to attack him. His badge doesn't give him that right and if someone is pulling you from your car while acting angry you would have a reasonable fear... Pt 6

Either way. The ...

Either way. The safety of a motorist who allegedly violates a minor traffic law comes first. Its their safety and their life which is on the line and they have a right to do what they feel is necessary to preserve and protect themselves. A reasonable cop who is mentally sound would not be upset with her because she actually stopped. He may be curious about her reason for not stopping for 8 miles but wouldn't react psychotically. He might ask for permission to search and if she refused... Pt 5

There were several ...

There were several possibilities. The first is that a) he was in fact a cop and b) that he was a blue light bandit yet both of these options could result in several possibilities. The first being that he was a blue light bandit but wasn't going to physically harm her but has some weird mental fetish or he was a blue light bandit with a criminal intent to rape, rob and/or kill her. The second option was that he was a cop who was just doing his job or a cop who wanted to rape or kill her. Pt 4

He didn't care her ...

He didn't care her reason for not immediately pulling over. He didn't take time to assess the situation before proceeding to use force that could have caused death to him, her or other people instead he acted out of instinct, rage and anger because he was pissed off that she didn't stop immediately. It is clear that he has authority issues and believes that a citizen is an inferior who must immediately and unconditionally obey and not consider their own personal safety including from cops. Pt 3

Not only did he ...

Not only did he place himself and her into serious danger but he also placed others drivers in serious danger by how he handled the situation. He was so occupied with what she was doing and not doing that he wasn't paying attention to where he was restraining her and both of them could have been struck by oncoming traffic or other motorists could have had to swerve to miss them and been killed or caused a serious accident. He didn't attempt to determine the situation before using violence. Pt 2

She got the ...

She got the settlement because he crossed the line between conducting a routine traffic stop to committing assault and battery on a citizen while angrily shouting and screaming orders and directions in an irrational manner. He took it from someone not immediately stopping or following directions to acts of violence. He even attempted to pull her from a car while she still had a seat-belt fastened and the manner in which he restrained her in an oncoming traffic lane was dangerous for both. Pt 1

If they are real ...

If they are real cops and not impersonating a police officer they will give us the opportunity to stop where we feel comfortable and if they are real cops and feel like we are eluding them they will call for backup and marked police cruisers will join them and we will then know they are cops. Our life and safety is worth risking an additional citation for failing to stop for police. The mere act of not stopping immediately does not warrant what he did without proof of a violent crime. Pt 4

The reason I ask ...

The reason I ask these questions is obvious. This has happened numerous times. Blue light bandits (people impersonating police) have done this and so have actual police officers. Our lives are valuable and everyone has the right to take steps to make sure they are safe including from police officer. No good cop would expect anyone to immediately step if they felt unsafe since incidents of blue light bandits and rogue cops can happen in broad daylight with traffic. Our safety comes first. Pt 3

If you saw an ...

If you saw an unmarked vehicle with blue lights flashing parked behind another car and someone being physically restrained and being dragged to the unmarked car while kicking and screaming would you stop and help that person? Or would you assume the person is a cop? What if they were wearing a uniform? Would you take special notice of details? What if you hear on the news about the woman being raped and killed? Would you kill yourself for not doing anything or go about your life? Pt 2

So if I borrow ( ...

So if I borrow (steal) a marked or unmarked police car from a relative or neighbor whose a cop while they are sleeping and they don't know I borrowed (stole) their police car I can go around pulling people over and then rape and kill them without anyone knowing about it? The problem is that people fake being cops all the time and there have been actual incidents of actual cops pulling over, raping and killing people. It's best practice to proceed to a safe location before stopping for anyone

This cops behavior ...

This cops behavior in this video indicates that he has anger problems and should not be a police officer. In this case he was an actual police officer but could just as easily not have been. She was within her rights to proceed to a location she felt safe. We are not legally obligated to immediately stop once an officer flashes lights or sirens as long as we do not attempt to flee. 8 miles does not count as an unreasonable distance when it comes to your own safety from blue light bandits. Pt 2
