Not sure why.. and forgive me. But this really broke me down to tears. Glass really hit me hard with this one.. i feel like the overall feel of this is just simply.. who i am right now. Occasional lift, constant strife. I hope things get better, thanks Glass

That hardly changes the fact that it's simple. But I find nothing inherently wrong with simplicity. I have a vicious obsession with the works of Mozart, but I'm not so pretentious as to avoid minimalism upon the sole pretense that it's simple. Complexity is not what makes art enjoyable, it is the masterful application of complexity that makes it enjoyable; and a masterful application of simplicity could be enjoyed as well. Although perhaps not to such a grand degree.

The elements that determine the appeals of music are far too vast to defend either the claim that this is good music or bad. I have a general aversion to minimalism or really abstract art in general. But I find this particular instance satisfactory. I could not tell you why, but only that this has sufficient rhythm to please me.

Well, seems we're not allowed to dissent from the general worship going on here without being heavily sat upon, FutureAbe, though at least one commenter did gracefully concede that everyone has a right to their opinion. As I too think that they have a right to like what they like, including this; I expect you do too. At least it's fairly innocuous, not unpleasant to the ear; I never said that. But I still find it boring... PS I think the same of Einaudi's stuff.
