Susan Strasburg (Lee Strasburg's daughter) plays a deaf girl, her boyfriend is Jack Nicholson. They make inference to Jefferson Airplane... That is one of the greatest psychedelic movies of all time. Can't remember the name.....

Sorry about your friend. That is incredibly fucked up. I thought that Canada had become much more lax with it's drug laws or is it just weed? I agree that alcohol is far and away the most destructive and damaging drug on the planet and yet of course it's perfectly legal almost everywhere. I'm just so glad that I have a medicinal marijuana card and can literally walk to a dispensary less than 4 blocks from my house and select from a menu of many different types of weed or hash. :-)

where i live up in faicst frozen wastes of canda a buddy of mine went to prison for 13 years for being in possesssion of 30 hits of LSD possession of 1 plant is 6 months in prison, minimum, no negotians i like smoking the weed and going for a bike ride but the shrooms dont seem to work anymore, but the LSD does and as for bad trips as they say its alcohol that causes all the damage but theres a lot of talk up here about legalizing weed but our leaders are evil and think tobacco is healthier

I can appreciate the place of honor this flick holds historically but it really isn't that great of a picture. Surprising that it done as well as it did. It was really the only movie of the period that tried to connect (and capitalize on) the counter culture which was a feat in itself! Thank you very very much for the movie as I been wanting to see it now for years and could never find it! Thanks again.

Very good and trippy movie even to watch now many yrs. after. Of course, we know that the LSD in that time, especially the "Ausley Acid" was very pure, and that people dosed over 200 mcg. per hit, which made the trip that more intense. Luckily when I did it in the 90s, the hits were smaller and contained less LSD. Still, the visual and the scenes in Peter's trip were very far out; I enjoyed the film to the extent that I would watch it while tripping on acid. But I don't recommend that for all.

You seem to enjoy making blind assumptions. I believe that all illicit drugs should be decriminalized.. Not sure why you seem to think I'm the enemy. :-) I simply have known a few people in my life who had one too many bad acid trips to the point where it had a very adverse affect on their lives. Having said that, I am very glad I live in California where marijuana is, for all intents and purposes, legal. It's incredibly easy to get a Medicinal Marijuana card here. Cheers.
