Yes, russian IS very beautiful but difficult language. I've learned russian since the age of 9 and I remember that I didn't like it at all because it was just so difficult but now I'm proud that I can understand russian pretty well. :) And I love this song!

as a native speaker i can say that russian is a very difficult language maybe one of the most difficult languages in the world.There are a lot of native speakers who are making a lot of mistakes while speaking.But its a very beatiful language with a long history and if you really want to learn it im sure you will GET it!

Мне кажется, я знаю почему русская версия звучит лучше... потому что мелодия написана так, чтобы в нее укладывались русские слова, они длиннее английских слов. Послушайте кол-во слогов в музыкальных фразах...? I think I know why version in Russian sounds better.. because its melody is written to match Russian words - they are longer than English words. Listen to the amount of sуllables in a musical phrase..? Just a guess?

No, Alexander is Belarussian and not Russian. Alexander and his parents moved to Norway when he was 5 years old. But Alexander sad in an interview that he speak better norwegian than russian.
