What is America's True Form of Government?

...

I understand, I am ...

I understand, I am also mutli-lingual. However, the Ben Franklin story is vastly recorded throughout US history. Whether it is true or not, the Founders did strongly want a Republic and it is not difficult at all to believe this is something he would have said (read his personal writings). When the video refers to "left" and "right", it is referring to forms of government, not political parties within those governments. There are also various diagrams/spectrums that people use. This is just one.

You can start with ...

You can start with the quote. Another thing is that Republics are democratic forms of government, democracy is a process more then a form of government. The principal of a republic is that is that the public holds or own things in common. For example roads bridges a judicial system ect. Republics can take many forms the U.S. is a representative democratic republic with very little true democracy in fact. Also the left and right spectrum is backwards.

Thank you for ...

Thank you for correcting me on that. I still struggle with English some times. Is not my native language. But none the less even if their grammar was better then mine they miss represent political theory and the left and right spectrum. Not to mention the quote in the beginning of the video is not complete and is probable not even a true story. I hope my grammar did not offend you this time.

1% rules over ...

1% rules over everyone else, not 51% over 49%. The John Birch Society are just a bunch of misguided conspiracy theorists. If they disappear, America would be a better place.

At least their ...

At least their grammar was correct. "A lot more *than* facts"

Which ones??

Which ones??

If you want to ...

If you want to give government no power, why do they have power?

We need to stop the ...

We need to stop the government balogny and begin approaching matters from a real standpoint. It's called food and shelter.

I am not a " ...

I am not a "moderate constitutionalist" Opposite the left which is government control all is a limited government by the Constitution. This is the right. The Constitution protects me by giving the government no power that I don't give it. The States have the powers that Obama is usurping. Remove Obama, he is a proven lier. Remove any head of State that follows Obama.

Some or most may ...

Some or most may think an ex-felon should not be allowed to vote. However, how maliciously our Founding Fathers worded the constitution and the fact they had criminals back then. They would have putb that language in it.

My point with the ...

My point with the 14th Amendment. NO state can make up any rule, law, provision, whatever, to deny a citizen from voting. NO matters what. Its eben in the Due Process Clause.

Speaking of ...

Speaking of Constitution. I'm sick and fucking tired of local, state, and federal officials walking over the constitution. For example. In Nevada, a judge, Elissa Cadish says she believes its not a constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Hey dummy, the 2nd Amendment says we ALL do. Another is the 14th Amendment: No state shall make or enforce any laws that bshall ABRIDGE the privileges and immunities of the people of the United States.

Did you know, per ...

Did you know, per hidden history and George Washington along with Benjamin Franklin are on record admitting they got the framework for our Constitution from the Algonquin Indian Tribe. They are in now Michigan all the very way to Quebec, Canada.

@mssexysocialist in ...

@mssexysocialist in regards to, "We would still be throwing people into an arena to kill eachother," we have progressed from bare handed boxing to wearing gloves and now we have the UFC. All that's left is to remove the half inch of padding and toss in swords. Then we'll be back.

This is a ...

This is a fallacious video full of misinformation. What else can you expect from the wackos at the John Birch Society. I couldn't get past where they talked about defending property in an anarchist society, obviously doesn't know anarchists are opposed to property so their argument is totally invalid. Weaksauce.

The left and right ...

The left and right political spectrum made me laugh my fucking ass off.

This video loses ...

This video loses credibility when it reaches anarchy, because it continues to perpetrate the same myths that in other areas (such as what America operates as) it seeks to overturn. The implementation of anarchy does not mean that you alone have to fend for yourself and your family wielding a gun. It simply means that the organisations of protection, education, and development can be established mutually and controlled directly, without a central control, or state.

This video has a ...

This video has a lot of fallacies in it. A lot more then facts ....

I disagree people ...

I disagree people are what they are because they are indoctrinated to be (more or less) If you lock a child up with dogs for his life and restrict all other interactions this child will act like a dog, humans are born with very few natural innate instincts maybe 10% at most But if you lock a dog up with humans it will still act like a dog (more or less) This has been proven because they have unfortunately found extremely abused children. Also skinner did experiments on his daughter real nice guy

What you say is ...

What you say is true but, as I pointed out, it's becoming progressively less true. In particular in the last 50 years. You say that having a desire for a better political and economic system is somehow "pie-in-the-sky", that's exactly what was said about each and every progressive thing achieved that we now take for granted; democracy, the end of slavery, women's rights, gay rights ect. "The idea that what is must necessarily be is the acid that erodes all visionary thinking" -- Murray Bookchin

Or better yet, as ...

Or better yet, as noted by one Havelock Vetinari, still hanging upside down in a tree.

Your assessment of ...

Your assessment of human history runs contrary to virtually everything revealed by evolutionary biology and anthropology. What history shows is that with the progressive accumulation of collective knowledge there is a manifest decline in violence, barbarism, and authoritarianism and a manifest increase in personal freedom - in both the negative and positive sense. If there was such a thing as static "human nature", we'd still be throwing people into arenas and having them kill each other.

I'm willing to ...

I'm willing to ignore the condescending sexism at the tail end of that comment but only just. I do promote the ideology itself. The term "libertarian socialism" does not presuppose that the use of the adjective by capitalists is illegitimate, simply that it is the originator of the term. Yet those who are ignorant of the term's origin act as if the inverse is illegitimate. And there's no such thing as "human nature", or at least not fixed human nature. So there's nothing for it to run against.

It seems you didn't ...

It seems you didn't read the next comment I made. The one where I pointed out that the very word "libertarian" was coined by a socialist all the way back in 1857 and was only co-opted by American Right-wingers in the 1950s. For over a century before that it was virtually synonymous with "anarchist" or "anti-statist socialism" - and still is today outside the US and other anglophone countries; particularly Spain and France. Please do some research in future.

Libertarianism ...

Libertarianism originally was the same as anarchism or voluntary association Anarchism = no rulers Socialism (although ambiguous) originally meant that the means of production would be controlled by a cooperative sort of like a democracy Most agree (although confusing) that the rest of society would operate like it does now (with money) Most agree that one would still have all their own possessions And some people would be richer than others based on productivity Does this make sense?
