Imjin war was started in 1590s but as i commented, the first record about hwacha was recorded at 1409 can you expain why there's 200 year of time gap? .. As a chinese korean. I have to tell u that Hwacha is indeed made in china. Sadly it is true. This weapon was given to Korean in ming dynasty. During the seconed china japanese war(happened in Korean the frist war also in korean) Also including the Design drawings. Even today u can find the original drawings recorded in chinese in ur country. I will change my national from chinese korean to han chinese next time when i back in my own land. Cos Korean is Shameless nation.

We used this in the Imjin war, when Japan invaded Korea. Japan had matchlock rifles, and Korea had some kind of a handcannon which was inaccurate and pretty weak compared to the Japanese weapons. However when we used the hwacha, and from a pretty high vantage point, we were kicking ass!
