Really.... Ok first the cars over 150K where even if it was easy to fix the owners will pay the shop anyway. Second the cheaper cars where the people who own then would rather fix the problem themselves now have to pay for a code reader or the shop. It would cost a lot more then 1 buck if you think about the other loss of profit

Hi rich, I have the same scanner, but the sears craftsman version, I tried it on my 04 Toyota tundra , no codes showed, but it has a history feature and a p0340 code showed, indicating a fuel pump circuit. Problem , I do have a very slight stumble at idle, and , a few weeks ago it took awhile to start,...hmmm, fuel pump maybe, I change out my fuel filter a few weeks ago, I pulled the fuel pump relay out to relieve pressure, could that cause that code, or do you have any other ideas...thanks rich

These things are stupid as hell, a diagnostic display should be built into the dash of every car from the computer. The computer is diagnosing and storing the codes based on feedback from malfunctioning sensors, to display these codes on the dash would cost a car manufacture less than a dollar in parts for a single 14 segment alphanumeric LED. Or they could outdo each other and have multi-letter displays, or have a speach box talk them out. Car manufacturers are stupid as hell.

Newer version has a micro usb slot on the bottom. And it comes with cable usb and micro usb on the other end, that means you dont need the 232 adapter anymore.
