he is thinking harmonically and refers to the chord not only the root wich is D....Cmaj, Dminor, Fmajor , G7..... he is always thinking harmonically vs the melody, being such a great composer instead of single notes bass lines..

Is there a bassist out there who can explain to me why he continuously refers to a single note as a "D minor"? Perhaps he means a "D flat" that is part of a minor scale or arpeggio. I'm very curious.

Paul McCartney and The Beatles were the reason I picked up the bass in 3rd grade and now I'm in my school's jazz ensemble and I was in a few "attempted" garage bands so I want to say thank you to Paul for encouraging me to never give up my musical dreams.
