, that would ...

, that would require the governments to give a full and honest disclosure of the county's affairs , most of the energy's of there politicians and government bodies are placed in the subversion of truth, facts , so we have a democracy built in a very shaky foundation & the efforts of the responsible parities lead the people they dupe into crises like Greece , or like zoinest into war for the self satisfaction of the people and corporations politician & government body's are targeted by

your affronted by ...

your affronted by the truth , why? no one made a law just for her, she did do the crime, and she should have known that she would be prosecuted if the government changed

say what you want ...

say what you want about the USA, but at least over there, you can have a fair trial. imagine if one day, someone who wants to get rid of you decided to create a law that claims that by breathing, you committed a crime...and unilaterally decided to put you in jail, without a fair trial, or a descent lawyer...would you say "the law is the law"? probably not.

appropriating ...

appropriating good's,including money and/or favors that one or more people may or may not profit from by deception or theft, that aside as i 'v come to understand she signed off on a deal with the Russian gas authority she did not have approval or the authority to do and there was an amount of 200.million $ of gas that went missing and the deal she sighed tried to covered up ,as for changing the law its only a good idea if it benefits the community or the majority community approves

thankyou Canada for ...

thankyou Canada for being a stalwart friend of Ukraine. You are never intimidated, even when the uk and commonwealth don't even except the Holodmyr".I must thank my local M.P for CambridgeJulian Huppert. He wrote to the Govt on my behalf and the minister for Europe the rt Hn David Lidington M.P stated tha"t Ukraine must adhere to human and political reforms"intreastingly he talks about the Danish helsinki comittee had concluded that Yulia's trial was in serious violations of legal principles.

gas prices had been ...

gas prices had been low before the "orange revolution" from Russia ".they were destined to stay the same for years, but it was taken for granted that Yanukovich would be president,as the electoral computer had been well and truly hacked into making this a formality; Things changed very differently-,people were prepared for this.It was a well organised orange fightback to Victory! Tymoshenko is the women to take Ukraine into prosperityThe gas prices were increased when Yushenko won!No Crime.

once more, youre ...

once more, youre making the assumption that justice systems in the former USSR are just as transparent and accountable as those in the west...but the thing is, often, the judges are more corrupt, and more criminal than the people on trial there. so i repeat, this was only a show trial (both the EU and US agree), it was not real trial, they were not bringing people to justice, just getting rid of the competition, they just reinterpret the law to turn people into criminals.

yes but i mean, ...

yes but i mean, define "stealing"...the fact of the matter is that no one actually knows what she did, because there wasn't a fair trial. her enemies just threw a bunch of documents on the table said, this is proof of embeslement and there you go..she was in jail, they refused to go to retrial...it was just an excuse to get her out of the way. and if you applaud a country that holds politicians to account, then Ukraine is the wrong one.they change the law tu suit their needs

i understand ...

i understand completely, but the fact is the only thing she need to do show that its common law to steal millions of dollars, or what ever she did or bring the evidence that that shows she never committed a crime , what your saying may be partly true ,but the facts are she did or she did not ? ,,I applaud any country that holds its politician to account your being bias

your drawing a ...

your drawing a long bow with that statement, i don't know many other leaders who have committed the acts she is accused and convicted of and I presume by your avoiding the question she did do the crime, i do agree politicians need be held responsible for there actions like braking sighed treaties and conventions, with out asking the people ,

no, my point is ...

no, my point is that one must ask "what constitutes a crime in the ukraine?"..because if we were to apply ukranian law in the way that it was applied to her, most of the country, including everyone in parliament would be in Jail. the fact that it was applied to her and only her was simply a political ploy by Yanukovich for getting rid of her, not for instilling justice.

Well if you think that oppression of the people was better then I realy have nothing to say to you.

Like many western ...

Like many western countries who protest against their president's and goverments (I have nothing against the west, I only want to point out that every country acts uncivilized in some way). Also if you follow your president without questioning his decisions (if they are for his people of for belief's) then you are just a sheep (no offence).

no, this idea works ...

no, this idea works in the west because there is the concept of political legitimacy for the governance. (whether you like the leader or not, you accept that he won fair and square)...in Eastern Europe, such leaders gain power by rigging votes, and jailing opposition...they are not real leaders, and do not deserve the respect of their population

in the Ukraine, ...

in the Ukraine, everything is a crime depending on how the leaders want to use the penal system to jail the opposition...in other words she has not done anything more criminal than any other politician in Ukraine...(in comparison, the current president actually poisoned the last one a few years ago, and yet he's still there)...

she did do the ...

she did do the crime did'nt she ?
