you probaby need to adjust it, which is quite simple, raise the rear of the car, remove one rear wheel bolt, use a flashlight to find the adjuster and adjust with a slim flat head screwdriver.

i have an E28 and it has full disc breaks as well, what i ment is that in my E28 the handbreak isnt connected to the calipers it has its own sepreate system.
