It's sad because the guards that killed Nicolas' family then dumped their bodies in mass graves and used lye and lime to quickly dissolve the bodies. No one survived. They recently found a grave that contained linen similar to what Anastasia would have been wearing. This movie breaks my heart.

So I totally didn't know that this wasn't a Disney movie (I should probably be ashamed of this, right?) But now that I think about it, you can actually tell the difference in the animation. Disney characters all seem to have something similar in the way characters are drawn - not that they look identical, but there's SOMETHING which is different in this. Either way, I still adore this movie.

In the 5th grade, we were studying a bunch of different revolutions. Some people were studying the American Revolution, some were French, and only 3 were Russian. Our teacher allowed the entire class to watch this video to learn about the Russian revolution. Can you say best teacher ever?
