The rubik's cube is definitely not an onion. Nobody takes corners off an onion - seems rather impossible. I'm guessing that it's garlic - makes much more sense because that's how you cut garlic and it goes well with tomato sauce. The dollar bill seems to be basil because that's exactly how you're supposed to cut it and basil is used very often in tomato sauces.

Googly-eyes=salt, tin foil=oil, Rubik's Cube=onion, pincushion=tomato, pick-up sticks=spaghetti, dollar bill=oregano(or some other spice), dice=sugar, Post-Its=butter, bubble wrap=boiling water, rubber bands=spaghetti, not sure what sauce is, yarn=parmesan, Kaleidoscope=pepper, not sure what wine is. This makes a pretty good spaghetti recipe.
