I live in Tacoma, near Seattle, it seems each winter we get an inch or two of snow and some black ice then it is utter chaos. The city only has a handful of plows and we always seem to run out of sand/salt

i don't know about seattle but here there's a week of heavy snow every year and people stock up in autnum to defrost their yards, pavement and road in front of the house.

apart from the fact anyone here is having snow tires on, the first thing they do is smash the break pedal to the ground... blocking your wheels on ice is the worst thing you can do... also what people here do on streets like this if no plower passed is get out of their houses and toss some salt on the street even spots without ice are enough do decrase you speed, stop or get back in control of the vehicle... not just film other people crashing...
