You need to read more. A comma is a pseudo-break in a sentence, and implies a split in the train of a commentary: the Trail of Tears was the end result of colonial antagonism with the Indian peoples. The beginning of said conflict began when pilgrims landed here and took more than was generously ceded to them by the Iroquois Indian Confederacy. The Revolution happened for many reasons, but one of the main ones was George's pact with the Indian nations. Look it up.
