in context of this argument, religion is just another theory, although there isn't much evidence supporting it these days other than historical accounts that we can prove happened, like that people like jesus and moses did exsist, but if there is a god or not is yet to be proven. Imo religion is just historically a social convention, used by the leaders/government to control the people, with fear, and to set guidelines for them to follow... but i agree with the principle of it and the morals...

yes but a theory is just one way of explaining scientific evidence, and usually has multiple things backing it up before it's properly credited, i mean us scientists are very cynical people and ofen don't believe anything unless it's backed up by irrefutable evidence, and obviously ppl have different opinions so there are often multiple different theories, but most are considered to be correct, or valid until proven otherwise...
